The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot was created specifically to attract and retain workers for the Agri-Food industry. The program began accepting applications in May 2020 and will continue until May 2023.

Introduction To Agri-Food Immigration Pilot
The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Program is an industry-specific initiative designed to attract non-seasonal farm and livestock workers committed to living and working in Canada year-round. It primarily targets sectors such as meat processing, animal husbandry, greenhouse production, and mushroom farming. Eligibility requires a valid job offer in one of the designated occupations along with relevant work experience.

The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot covers the following occupations and industries:
- Meat Processing – Retail Butcher, Industrial Butcher, Food Processing
- Harvesting Labourer
- General Farm Worker (Greenhouse and Crop Production)
- Farm Supervisor and Specialized Livestock Workers
